The passing of the Ontario Green Energy Act and introduction of the feed-in-tarriff (FIT) and microFIT program allows Ontario residents to produce their own clean energy and sell it back to the grid at rates designed to cover capital costs and provide a strong rate of return. Under the microFIT program, solar projects under 10kW are paid a guaranteed rate for all energy produced, regardless of consumption, over a 20-year term. Roof mounted projects can collect $0.802/kWh and ground mounted projects $0.642/kWh. Click here to find out more.
